Welcome

Welcome to La Gotera

The incredibly charming La Gotera Ranch provides the framework for your stay during this Red Stag hunt. Set on a hilltop with wonderful views over the district, the ranch offers three large, comfortable bedrooms, all with private bathroom.

Only one party at a time, so the estate, the table, and the family are all yours. Partners and family are warmly welcome to come along, and the days are designed to be shared. Mornings begin with freshly baked scones and homemade bread, a La Gotera tradition.

The Ranch

A hilltop home in the steppe

Three large bedrooms, each with private bathroom. A fireplace that rarely goes cold. Views that stretch from the valley floor to the first ridges of the Andes.

The kitchen serves local Argentine dishes: game, Patagonian lamb, and trout from the rivers, always paired with a fine glass of Malbec.

The Family

The Trannack Family

Three generations of Patagonian stewardship. Over many years, they've gathered a deep knowledge of this land: its rhythms, its game, its quiet places, and they open it to you without pretense.

"The Trannack family are proud to have been born and raised in Patagonia. Over many years, they have gathered a deep knowledge of the land, and they're more than happy to share it."

The Hunt

Red Stag in a Wild Enclosure

A wild enclosure of 12,000 acres of steppe, forest, and Andean foothills — large enough that the hunt feels indistinguishable from open country. Generations of careful management have shaped a herd with exceptional genetics, while the scale of the land keeps every stalk honest and authentic: fresh huellas in the morning dew, long glassing from the ridges, and the slow work of getting within range. Expect to walk, climb, and earn your stag — vehicle access across the property lets you choose when to push and when to ride, but the chase is yours to make.

The Table

From the Land to Your Plate

Game from the estate, Patagonian lamb over open fire, trout from the rivers, paired always with a fine glass of Malbec. Mornings bring fresh scones and homemade bread.

In Between Hunts

Your Free Time, Your Companions

Between drives, the ranch is yours at your own pace: long rides through the steppe, hikes into the Andes, a quiet afternoon of fly-fishing on the rivers, or simply a chair on the hilltop with a glass in hand. Partners and family are warmly welcome to come along and share it all.

"There is a silence in Patagonia that makes you listen. Not to the wind, but to yourself."
